Happy Meet the Team Monday! Throughout April we continue to highlight a different member of The Bowes Team.
Today, we introduce Bud Bowes, Broker/Owner.
Q: What is your favorite part about your job?
My favorite part of the job is helping our clients get through the stresses that come with buying or selling a home. I find that good communication is key, as well as letting them know what the next steps are so they have time to prepare. Preparation is vital for a transaction to go smoothly. The fewer surprises, the less stress on clients.🤗
Q: What was your proudest accomplishment last year?
My proudest accomplishment last year was helping lead the Bowes Team to achieve the Diamond Club award from RE/MAX. The Diamond Club 💎🏆is the highest level award given by RE/MAX and only 2 teams in Connecticut received this award. I am so proud our Team for living by our core values and always putting the clients goals above their own.
Q: What is one thing you cannot live without?
Family! 👨👩👧👧 I have been blessed with a loving wife, 4 daughters, 2 granddaughters and we are looking forward to a grandson expected to make his way into the world in June.
Q: Outside of work, what was last year's most memorable moment?
Last year's most memorable event would be when Sue and I bought our dream home on the Niantic River!🏡🚣 We had a picture of a house on the water on our vision board for many years. We were not in the market to move so it caught us a little by surprise when it happened. It was more of a future dream. Once we were in the house the excitement grew and we knew that we had to try to buy this home. We had such a great time last summer watching our kids and grand-kids having so much fun in the water!🏊🎣
Q: Can you share a little-known fact about yourself?
A lot of people do not know that I was a Firefighter👨🚒 in my previous career. It amazes me how similar the 2 professions are. Not that real estate is life or death but there can be times of high emotion for our clients and having over 20 years experience dealing with highly emotional situations in the fire service taught me how to help my clients remain calm and guide them through any of the fires🔥 that come our way!🚒
